Kwasi is a beloved and innovative thought leader in the areas of graphic design, digital/print marketing and communications. He resides on Chicago’s South-Side  where he was born and raised. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, and graduated with his master’s degree in Communication and Digital Media from Loyola University, Chicago. Kwasi has a strong passion for changing the world and inspiring those around him with his love for communication design, and advocating for equity and opportunities for under-resourced youth and young professionals.

Kwasi has spent the last 19 years freelancing for various clients within Chicago, New York and Atlanta. He has also spent the last 9 years specifically working in the nonprofit sector as a designer and communications specialist. Kwasi previously worked as the Marketing and Communications Manager at Chicago Scholars Foundation, for 4 years. Currently, he is a Senior Communications and Graphics Design Specialist at the Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund. Kwasi also serves yearly as a mentor to Chicago’s youth, sits on the Chicago Scholars Board of Directors and Chairs its Alumni Leadership Association. He believes that being a communication designer is about being an original thinker who conceives creative concepts and translates them into a visual format that speaks volumes.
